The Most Common Kidney Disease Symptoms You Will Experience

What  are you likely to experience? When do they actually come about and why do they come about?

There are many of you out there that are just going to be plain confused when it comes to the various renal disease symptoms, and trust me this is a lot more common than you might think.

The reason this happens is because…

1. Kidney disease isn’t that well known among the general public out there and therefore it’s largely misunderstood by many people.
2. There are many smaller conditions that come under the main term kidney disease, and each of these illnesses has its own set of symptoms.
3. There are two variations to kidney disease… acute or chronic.
4. Kidney disease is just one of the many different names that are used by professionals. Other common names for the same disease include…

  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Kidney failure
  • Renal failure
  • Renal disease
  • End stage kidney disease

and many, many more.

5. The symptoms of renal disease don’t usually come about until much later. This is why this condition is often known as the silent killer.

So What is the Point of this Article?

The whole reason that I’m writing this article in the first place is so that you guys will know the exact signs and symptoms you will experience if you have kidney disease.

These are the most common symptoms that you’ll experience when your kidney has already started to deteriorate.

Below are the most common symptoms of kidney disease that you will experience when you have kidneys that aren’t working as they should. Of course, I’ve done my best to also include the exact reasons behind why these symptoms actually occur in the first place.

This will help all of you guys that are actually suffering from the disease to actually understand your condition a whole lot better.

Most of the symptoms that I mention below will be experienced by those of you that have stage 3/4 kidney disease.

1st Symptom: Changes in Urine

This has to be one of the most common symptoms of kidney disease. Of course, this makes a lot of sense because your kidney’s main function is to regulate your body via urine. The changes you will experience include:

  • Increase in urination in the evening/night
  • A lot of foam of bubbles produced in your urine (a sign of excess protein being excreted by your body)
  • An increase/decrease in urine production
  • Your urine has become dark yellow/brown
  • Blood in your urine
  • A feeling of pressure/struggle when urinating

Well the cause of this symptom is rather obvious and its because your kidneys are damaged, hence the process of producing urine is messed up!

This symptom has to be the most common out of them all!

2nd Symptom: Fatigue

You feel tired and fatigued all the time, regardless of how much sleep you get.

There are many different causes of this symptom including:

1. Anemia: Your kidneys play a very important role in the production of a hormone called EPO. This hormone is essential for your body to produce red blood cells. Of course when you don’t have a kidney that is working at its optimal rate then you’re just not going to get enough EPO being made.

2. Decreased Oxygenation: As I mentioned above kidney disease can result in a lower amount of red blood cells being made in your body which means that you are going to have far fewer red blood cells in your body to transport adequate amounts of oxygen around the body to where it’s needed.

On top of this side effect is the fact that fluid can actually build up around your lungs which can make it harder to breath in deeply. Hence bringing in a good amount of oxygen can be hard at times.

3. Adrenal Fatigue: You can say that the kidneys and adrenals are one and the same thing. While they are not technically part of the same organ they are connected, and the adrenals produce a very important hormone by the name of aldosterone which helps your kidneys reabsorb a lot of sodium and water. Also when you look at it from an energetic point they are the same thing.

The adrenal glands are basically located on top of your kidneys, and as a result they work in conjunction with one another.

Your adrenal glands are basically your body’s anti-stress/energy center. This is the place where hormones such as adrenaline, cortisol and norepinephrinecortisol are released and this is the source where your body gets an increase in energy.

If your kidneys are not working as they should be then you can be sure that your adrenals will not be either.

3rd Symptom: Itching

Itching has to be one of the most common symptoms of kidney disease out there. It’s a symptom that is very persistent and can make you feel irritated all the time.

The reason you feel itchy in the first place is because of the toxic waste build up in your blood stream, which eventually rises up to your skin. The other reason you might be feeling quite itchy is because you have a lot of phosphates in your blood.

4th Symptom: Nausea and Vomiting

This is one of the more unpleasant symptoms of kidney disease and results in the individual also getting the feeling of low appetite and anorexia.

Again like the 3rd symptom this comes about as a result of the build up of toxins in the blood, but the main toxin that causes this symptom is one called urea.

5th Symptom: Finding it Hard to Breathe

Feeling out of breath is something that a lot of people with renal disease will experience. Even if it’s only a slight issue, it is a constant reminder of the fact that they are not 100% healthy.

The number one cause of this symptom is because of anemia, the low production of red blood cells and the build up of fluid around your lungs.

6th Symptom: Easy Bleeding and Bruising

Do you find that even the slightest knock or bump results in a heavy bruise? Or do you find that cuts takes forever to heal?

The cause of this is simple. Your kidneys are not working as they should be hence this affects the rate at which blood clots. Not having enough vitamin C is the reason why you get bruised easily.

7th Symptom: Swelling

Getting a swelling or feeling of puffiness can come about in any area of the body.

It usually comes about because of fluid retention. An excess amount of fluid builds up in the body simply because the kidneys find it a lot harder to get rid of all the excess fluid there is present.

Here are some other kidney disease symptoms that are very common…

1. Anorexia
2. Inflammation around the heart causing chest pain
3. Constipation
4. Diarrhea
5. Constant Headaches
6. Hypercalcaemia (High levels of blood calcium)
7. Hyperkalemia (High levels of blood potassium)
8. Hypernatraemia (High levels of blood sodium)
9. Hyperphosphatemia (High levels of blood phosphate)
10. A constant feeling of thirst
11. Insomnia
12. Feeling of numbness
13. Low appetite
14. Low vitamin D levels
15. Low libido
16. Poor levels of concentration
17. Muscle cramps
18. Osteoporosis
19. Pale skin color
20. Feeling of weakness

So What Should You Do?

Yes, there are a lot of you out there that are going to read this list of symptoms and become extremely depressed. You might feel that you have no chance and no hope of living a healthy and fulfilling life. But this is not at all true. If you’re prepared to do the right things then you can change your life around for the better.

There is always something you can do to overcome the symptoms of kidney disease that you might experience.

Believe me, there are many different options you have available to you when it comes to medication you can take. The best place to start would be to begin doing your own research as well as talking to your local doctor. Get all the facts you can and then go forward on that path you believe will help you the most.

Often times all you really need to do is implement a high quality kidney diet and you will find pretty much all the symptoms will disappear.

While medication can temporarily relieve you of the pain you are experiencing it won’t help to get rid of the symptoms for good. This is why I recommend you stick to choosing those options that are as natural as possible.
