If you take any prescription medications they may also be contributing to your weight gain, your physician should be able to rule this out for you as well.

Other people may be emotional eaters. If you are a person that tends to eat when you are upset then this may be a lot of your problem. If you feel that you are overweight due to your emotional eating then you will want to consider changing a few things about your lifestyle. If you feel that you have a lot of underlying emotional problems then you may want to consider talking to a therapist that can help you to discover why it is that you feel the need to eat when you are upset. You will also want to try to find something else to focus on when you are upset and emotional that doesn't involve food. Some people even wear rubber bands on their wrists and snap them when they are upset instead of reaching for food. If you know what it is that leads to you becoming upset then you will want to try to change that thing so that it doesn't continue begin a problem.

Many people just love to eat and they have a lot of food cravings. If you fall in to this category then you will want to do a lot of compromising with yourself. The first thing that you should do is to focus on becoming a more disciplined person when it comes to eating. You will want to spend time finding alternatives for the foods that you have a hard time staying away from. It is very important that you clear your home from the foods that tempt you. You will also want to make sure to always bring your food with you when you are out for the day, this will help you to fight off temptation while you are on the go.
